Our colours: immediately recognisable and appealing.
White and red have firmly established themselves as the Deutsche Bahn colours. We use them in a targeted fashion, so that our customers can clearly identify us as the signatory of the communication. But we’re also expanding our spectrum and thus enable an attention-grabbing and emotionally charged form of address.
Example applications

A summary of key points:
- The colours red and white shape the brand and are thus always in use.
- Use red as an activating colour.
- Secondary colours support our messages in a targeted way.
- We always use colour, but are never colourful.
Our brand colours
Whether in communication or on our products, the colours red and white are immediately associated with Deutsche Bahn, which is why we use them in a targeted way: we incorporate red as an activating colour, whilst white and red surfaces create a design stage and radiate clarity.

Our secondary colours
An extensive spectrum of secondary colours, which are warm, cold, bright and muted, generate variety and flexibility. Our secondary colours are not used for coding and are applied equally by all departments and business units.

Colour specifications
Our colour spectrum comprises 13 colours, each of which is broken down into eight shades ranging from bright to dark. The corresponding colour space is provided for each application.

Any questions?
Our corporate design allows you plenty of freedom: we made a conscious decision to refrain from precisely defining each and every special case. Instead, you yourself can decide which solution is the best for the Deutsche Bahn brand. Should you have any questions regarding use, we’ll be happy to assist you.
